Because the waterway between the provinces Friesland and Groningen in the Netherlands will be used more and more the coming years, the bridges had to be adjusted. One of those bridges is the bridge near Lutjegast, a large concrete bridge of 125 metres long.

Bartels was involved in this project as a detail engineer, we engineerd the prefab parts. The bridge had to be inferior to the landscape it is in and together with the architect and contractor we managed to do this.
