When completed in 2014, the Warsaw Spire will be the tallest building in Poland, providing AAA office accommodation for multinational
companies requiring a prestigious address in the capital.

The Developer, Ghelamco Poland Sp. z o.o., has retained Bakkala Consulting Engineers to carry out multidisciplinary design review and value engineering of the project. The objective is to realize a very high quality of building at the least practical cost.

The Bakkala team includes vertical transportation specialists, façade, M&E and fire engineers, as well as civil and structural engineers at Bakkala and at Bartels Polska, the Polish branch of the parent company.

Value is currently being found through vertical transportation optimization, returning hundreds of square metres of additional lettable area at typical floors; a balancing of façade and mechanical systems performance to realize very high quality finish and a very good BREEAM rating, and an optimized frame with minimal embodied energy and rapid buildability.
